This page draws views of the landscape across a 60km (~40 miles) square area of the Lake District in Cumbria, England, famous for Melvyn Bragg, William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter (in ascending order of cultural significance). The first view is of Wast Water with Great Gable in the distance.
